CHILDREN'S MINISTRY

Discovery has a wonderful children's ministry, including a Sunday morning "children's church" and nursery which happens during the service. Children's church is designed for kids 4-10 years of age while nursery is for little ones 3 and under.

We've learned about God's creation, bible stories of the Old Testament, the armor of God, and the Life of Jesus! We had a pumpkin parable lesson, a Thanksgiving celebration and a Happy Birthday Jesus party where we made nativity stockings, frosted cookies, and gifts. For Valentines Day, we shared Jesus' love by making cards for the people attending church that day.

We also learned that Jesus knows our names! This Easter season we watched the Jesus movie for children and learned about His great sacrifice for us. We used the resurrection eggs to tell the story of the Passion Week and received a small gift to help us remember this special time of year. This spring we look forward to learning about the fruits of the spirit, honoring our parents with Mothers Day and Fathers Day projects, and continuing to learn more about God's love for us.

Our desire is to instill the truth that Jesus loves each and every one of us. God created us, has a plan for each one of us and desires us to know him. Jesus is our "all the time" friend.

Worship Team
